Weekly, we’ll exercise practical, playable scene building techniques via Practical Aesthetics, Stanislavsky method, Second City Improvisation, and Stanislavsky core principles. We begin to utilize the primacy of an alert script analysis, working to understand and honor the “original intention” of the writer. And, we begin to explore and try to understand best practice “staging” – when and how to move in a scene, or not move. Week by week we’ll scene-build, all toward delivering a live monologue and scene presentation for an invited audience in the last session.
Actors act… and that is what we’ll get down to.
